Sacred Valley of the Incas

Day 1. ARRIVAL LIMA: upon arrival in Lima you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the lively district of Miraflores.

Day 2. LIMA - CUSCO: you take an early morning flight to the capital of the Incas, Cusco. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free day to relax in Cusco and adjust to the altitude.

Day 3. CUSCO: free morning in Cusco, Peru's fourth largest city, a time for you to explore the attractions of this lively city on your own. An afternoon sightseeing tour taking in the colonial churches, then visiting the Inca sites just outside the city; Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.

Day 4. MACHU PICCHU: An very early start, leaving your hotel at 5.30am transferring to the station for the train to Aguas Calientes, arriving at 9.30am.

Bus from station to the Sacred city Machu Picchu, a very informative tour with a local guide. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes. The train departs at 3:30pm. and you'll be arriving back in Cusco in the early evening.

Day 5. SACRED VALLEY: full day tour with a local guide visiting Pisac, a typical Indian market and the ruins above the town. After lunch on to Ollantaytambo exploring the terraces and ruins in the town. Returning to Cusco late afternoon.

Day 6. CUSCO - LIMA: A morning flight to Lima, transferring to your hotel. Afternoon tour visiting the Gold Museum, a great collection of pre-Columbian gold jewellery and an evening to relax in Peru's capital city. Extension with jungle. Please visit www.manuexplorer.com

Day 7. DEPARTURE LIMA: transfer out to the airport for your flight home. End of tour.
