Day 1. ARRIVE LIMA: upon arrival in Lima you are met and transported
to your hotel in the fashionable district of Miraflores.
Day 2. LIMA/CUSCO: early morning flight to Cusco where you will
be met and transferred to your hotel. Free day. Time to relax and adjust
to the altitude in one of the most famous city`s in South America.
Day 3/4. MACHUPICCHU: early departure by train to the "sacred
city of the Incas", Machupicchu. Explore with your guide. Stay
overnight at Aguas Calientes, a picturesque village, and enjoy
at the hot springs. 4th day: return with the luxury train to Cusco.
Day 5. SACRED VALLEY: an 9:00am. start from Cusco we`ll visit
the typical indian market of Pisac, Pisac Inca Site, Ollantaytambo,
Chincheros. We return back to the Cusco in the late afternoon.
Day 6/19. CORDILLERA VILCANOTA: this mountainous region is internationally
famous, with its massif group of mountains such as Ausangate (6,370m)
as the highest important peak. 6th day: depart morning bus from
Cusco to Hacienda Tinqui (3,900m) and camp nearby. 7th day:
we begin our adventure trekking tour to the incredible Cordillera Vilcanota
with a gentle ascent to Uchuycruz (4,300m) and camp.
8th day: trek and camp near by turquoise lake at Laguna Singrenacocha
(4,350m). 9th day: we'll reach Laguna Comercocha (4,600m)
which is on the northern side of the Ausangate massif. 10th day:
ascend to the high pass at 5000 m, and then descend to Morococha
(4,835m), our campsite. 11th day: we hike up to campsite Condor
(4,920m). 12th day: we cross another pass 5,200 m, and descend
to Laguna Sibinacocha (4,835m). 13th day: cross another
high pass 5,000 m, camp near Laguna Ccascana (4,930m). 14th
day: with panoramic views of the impressive lake Laguna Sibinacocha,
we`ll trek and then camp at Yanarumipunco (4,865m). 15th day:
very long, moderate terrain to reach Hacienda Chimpa Chillca (4,400m).
16th day: leisure day at camp, enjoy the Pachamanca. 17th
day: hike the quebrada ( canyon) Aucatauri to reach the southern
side of Mt. Ausangate camp Laguna Pucacocha (4,600m). 18th day:
trek to Upis (4,550m). 19th day: return to Hacienda Tinqui,
and bus back to Cusco.
Day 20. CUSCO: free day.
Day 21. CUSCO/LIMA: early pick up time from your hotel, board
your flight to Lima. Afternoon on your own.
Day 22. LIMA/HOME: end of the trip.
