Day 1. ARRIVAL LIMA / CUSCO: upon arrival in Lima
you will be met by our Transfer representative and route to your connection
flight into the Historical capital of Peru Cusco the afternoon
is free for relaxing in the City and acclimatising to the altitude at
3,400 m. Enjoy the coca tea.
Day 2. CUSCO: Morning free In the afternoon we'll explore the
mysteries that the city of Cusco offers the great Catholic Churches and
the impressive Inca sites just outside town. Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo,
and Tambomachay.
Day 3. SACRED VALLEY: Full day sightseeing tour visiting the typical
indian market at Pisac, and the Inca site just outside town. After
Pisac, we`ll travel down the Sacred valley of the Incas,
and visit the fascinating Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo and
the Inca site at Chincheros. We'll return to
Cusco late afternoon.
Day 4 / 13. CHOQUEQUIRAO / MACHU PICCHU: One of our most remarkable
itineraries, this hike combines two of the most famous Inca sites build
on the last decades of the Inca empire, both sites perched on top of a
cliff gorge Urubamba & Apurimac. The approaches on foot
allow you to envisage the experience of their builders. However, the varied
terrain and environment route takes through high pristine jungle and up
to high Andes passes where we can almost guarantee you of the now elusive
Condor. Super views of the Vilcabamba Mountain Range. A complete
Andean experience. 4th day depart early from Cusco
and arrive in Cachora our initial point of the hike and start
the hike descending to canyon of the Apurimac river 1,800m campsite
at the shores of the river. 5th a modern
ascent to the village of Marampata stop for lunch an continue for
Choquequirao 3,000m You then have the afternoon to explore this
truly mystical site of the Incas. 6th a morning easy
ascent to Abra Choquequirao 3,300 and then continue with a descent
to Pinchi Unuyoc lunch. Afternoon to Rio Blanco for another Low
altitude campsite 1.800m. 7th the hardest day of the
trek with all day ascent in hot dry conditions to 4,000m. Mina Victoria.
8th we use the good of the morning to cross the Victoria
Pass 4,500m. where we have astounding views of the Mountains including
Salkantay and Humantay, the descent takes us past many abandoned
working Inca mines we camp at the village Yanama 3,400m. 9th
a day hike with another high pass at 4,550m. where we observe Condors,
then continue down to Collpampa 2,800m. option to have natural
hot bath in the thermal springs. 10th an easy day trek
culminates at Sahuayaco 2,000m. we go through farms of coffee,
coca leaves, banana, natural flowers, Orchids etc. 11th
after a good breakfast we start our hike and continue with the pass
of abra Aobamba 2,800m and camp at Patallacta 2,500m.
where we can appreciate a fabulous views of Machupicchu. 12th
Aobamba to Aguas Calientes, this is day of mixed modes of transportation.
A two-hour descent by foot takes us to the hydroelectric station on the
Urubamba River and later take the train Back to Aguas Calientes
2,000. 13th Machupicchu the highlight of our
journey with ample time to explore the site. Afternoon train to Cusco.
Day 14. CUSCO: Free day. Relax and recover from the trekking.
Day 15. CUSCO-LIMA-DESTINATION: Transfer to the airport for a
morning flight to Lima and evening flight back home. End of the Tour.
